Robo’s smart block system lets you quickly and easily snap together many variations of robots. Many different types of blocks are offered, including sensor blocks, motor blocks, and a central power block that also wirelessly communicates with our app.
Because power and data are routed through the blocks themselves, with no exposed wiring, kids are free to try any combination of blocks they can dream of.
Robo’s app, for iOS and Android devices, features an interactive guide that can explain what blocks do as they are used, suggest possible robot designs, and allow for experimentation with various sensors. Best of all, it does this all in real time. This dynamic feedback will encourage kids to try new designs.
Robo’s app lets kids learn to program their robots in a fun, simple, and educational environment. By abstracting complicated actions (for example: following a line on the floor, or turning away from a wall), the app teaches the basics of programming without the imposing feel of more advanced programming environments.
